Night Shift, tractor restoration
Our friend Max Armstrong recently swung by Washington, Missouri, to chat with Dan Brinkman about the Night Shift program at Four Rivers Career Center.
Dan’s got a knack for working with high school students restoring antique tractors. Every year, they kick off a tractor restoration project in August and spend an average of 4,000 hours tearing down, repairing, painting, and reassembling an antique tractor. They learn about managing their time, working under a boss, mechanics, knowing which tool to use for the job, learning from their mistakes, and most importantly, patience.
We’re super grateful to Dan and folks like him for keeping America’s youth engaged in preserving these old tractors and connecting with our history!
We hope you enjoyed this episode.
