Restored Massey Ferguson Named Harry

In 1973 Harry Haines purchased a brand new Massey Ferguson 135, he sent one of his sons down to water street in St. John’s Newfoundland to pick it up and drive it back to Middle Bight Rd in Conception Bay South… at the time a distance of 30kms. According to Harry’s son he had the tractor going 50km/h down hill!

After years of farming and a few years left to rot in a shed myself and my father in law obtained it and started the process of restoring it! Removing the shoddy cab that was built on it and getting it to run smooth! Once we had it running great started the task of repaint.. luckily my father in law is a well established body man and was able to straighten, fine tune, and paint the tractor back to pristine condition! Only tractor I believe in Newfoundland with a top base clear coat hahaha.
Now the tractor famously Nick named ‘Harry’ is at my home in Conception Bay South Newfoundland waiting for the snow to start and a garden to plough! Once left to rot now is fully restored and ready for another 50 years of work. And this time it’ll be maintained for future generations and years to come!
