Our Oliver Tractors Story
Pictured are 4 of the 5 Olivers that we own. The Background is an abandoned Barn right across the road from us. The 1952 Oliver 77 Row Crop we bought for parts is not pictured but will also be restored.
Pictured from left to right is our 1950 Oliver Standard 88, which we bought and restored. We bought this tractor with the intention of giving it to our kids, and we also farmed with one. This tractor will be going to our one and only Daughter “Maryssa.”
The second tractor from the left is a 1954 Oliver 77 Row Crop we bought more than 35 years ago. This tractor initially belonged to my wife Mary’s Dad. He farmed with it while Mary was growing up on the farm. This tractor will go to our second oldest Son “Josh” after restoration.
The 3rd tractor from the left is a 1963 Oliver 770 Row Crop we bought from my Dad’s Estate Auction.
We have owned this tractor for several years as well. This was one of the tractors my Dad bought after I moved away from home. He used it almost daily for his chores and cutting hay, along with many
other farming operations. We added the aftermarket 3-point hitch as we used this tractor on our Pellet mill and planned to get a back blade. This tractor will be going to our oldest Son “Nic.”
The 4th Tractor from the left is our 1961 1800A Checker board series. We bought this tractor to run our
Pellet mill when we found the Oliver 770 was just a little short of power. The 1800A was already restored, and Mary put a lot of elbow grease into an excellent wax job. This tractor will be going to our youngest
Son “Alex”.
All of these tractors will be given to our children, but they must all keep them in the family and are our
way of passing down the Family Oliver Heritage.
