Allis Chalmers A, back in the family

In 1937 my Great Grandfather decided it was time to update from his team of Clydesdale Horses and get a tractor for farming on his property in the Victorian Mallee District around Lake Tyrrell. The tractor he decided upon was an Allis Chalmers Model A that remained in the family until it was sold in 1991.
The tractor was sold off but was never forgotten. My grandfather was disappointed to not have the tractor so we tried any leads possible to relocate the Allis Chalmers. Many years passed and other Allis tractors collected and restored by my grandfather and I until his passing.

I still attended several meets with our tractors and always asked around fellow enthusaists until I got a good lead on the whereabouts of the Model A around 2014. Contact was made and armed with photos of the tractor when it was new, and taking my grandmother down as a surprise outing, we visited the owner and confirmed it was indeed our old tractor. Over the years I maintained contact until the owner decided it was time to sell in 2017. Once home the tractor was given a freshen up and is now the centerpiece of my collection.
