This 1947 Farmall A was bought by my father, J.V. Langley, second-hand and came with a pull gang harrow, cultivators, fertilizer hopper, corn planter and turning plow. The tractor had no hydraulics so it was a hand lift operation. He used this tractor for all his farming on leased land, growing corn for the hogs we raised. This tractor was in service up until his death in May of 1995. I began restoring the tractor in his memory in the year 2000 and finally finished it in the year 2005. Today the tractor is used for parades and tractor shows, running like it did in 1947.
