An Avery R for Avery R.

This is a 1951 BF Avery R that I aquired a few years ago from a gentleman in Tennessee. He had bought the tractor in a package deal with a 720 John Deere. He bought it from the original owners who had this tractor on a dairy farm in North Carolina.
We wanted a BF Avery R because my name is Avery R. It is the 103rd R to be built in 1951 and seems to have a lot of options on it from the factory. We had to rebuild the motor, redo the electrical, install new tires, and we painted it to get it looking and running the way it does today.
I take it to shows in the area and it is was in the BF Avery Collectors & Associates newsletter. Here in Pennsylvania, people don’t see an Avery every day, so it catches some attention.
