8th Generation Farm Kids and Great-Grandpa’s John Deere

My dad bought this tractor in about 1980 when I was a student at Purdue. It was his favorite 2 cylinder that he owned at the time. It had a new paint job shortly after he bought it, and then it ended up sitting in a barn for several years. Dad passed in late 2010 and my boys got it out and started working on it in late 2014. We finished the tractor in June of 2016. I think my dad would be happy to see us enjoying it with his great grandkids.
This picture was taken on our farm in Palmyra township in June 2025. L to R are Mae Alyce 8, Ben 4, John Ross 2, Eli 2, and Hope who is 6. These kids are the 8th generation to be on this farm.
