June Featured Photo, 1937 Allis Chalmers WC

This 1937 Allis-Chalmers WC Unstyled was restored by me (Noah Shepherd) in memory of my grandfather, Orin Rinkel. My grandfather acquired this tractor from the first owner, his uncle, in the 1940’s. It was the first tractor in their area (Pierce-Madison County, Nebraska) with rubber tires.
This tractor was my first restoration project and the inspiration for my magneto and antique tractor repair business, which I started at the age of 19 this year. This photo was taken on mile 9 of the 60-mile Harold King Memorial Tractor drive in Schaller, Iowa. The steel on this bridge is from the same company as the frame rails on this tractor.
