A John Deere like I learned to drive on

Mine is not as much of a restorative story, when I purchased my 1952 John Deere B it was already running and in good shape. But more of a sentimental story.
I was looking for a tractor and brush hog for our land and found this one on marketplace. Well I immediately told my wife I really wanted this one. You see, it was the same model that my Grandpa had on the farm, the same model that I learned to drive a tractor on when I was a kid. Mind you not the easiest to learn on with the hand clutch. I may have run over a wagon tongue or two. But it brought back great memories of learning not only to drive but to work on and spending time with my Grandpa.

Well now he’s long gone, but as you can see, now I get to share my love for old iron with my grandkids! It’s a good running old tractor, I’m sure there are others that would be more user friendly but I wouldn’t trade it for any of them!!
