Little Farmall Cub with Dad and his Little Daughter

My wife and I decided when we moved to rural New Hampshire we wanted something to move logs easily and plow snow with. Opposed to shoveling our long driveway, and so I wouldn’t have to clean the wood debris out of her Subaru Forester too many more times.
IH Farmall tractors had long been my favorite, so when I saw this 1958 Farmall Cub for sale with a good service history at a good price we decided to purchase it. My daughter enjoyed sitting on the tractor, but wanted her own so for her Birthday we got her a tractor too. The 1958 cub that my daughter has named “Daisy Two” after her tractor named “Daisy” has been extremely helpful plowing snow and hauling logs and firewood. I have done some work on it with my daughter as my assistant.
Usually hand her a tool to hand me upon request. The process of working on the tractor is slow that way, but I know the memories that we are making tinkering together are worth the most. My daughter now often says “let’s just go work in the garage on your tractor Dad”. Now she wants a “ big tractor” like mine. Glad to have passed on the old tractor bug. The father daughter goal for the summer is to replace the radiator that I purchased from Steiner last year. It may take us a while but like the slow speed of a tractor we are slowly enjoying the journey together.
