Two Avery’s Born the Same Year

The story that I have been told is that my uncle had an Avery tractor, and my mom and grandma liked the name. So, I was named Avery. I mentioned to my wife years ago that if I ever had the opportunity to purchase a B. F. Avery tractor around the year I was born, I wanted to buy it. After I retired, we moved to the country, and this partially restored tractor came up for sale. We went to look at it and decided to take it home. I’m almost done with the restoration, and the grandkids would love to ride on it. This Avery tractor was built the same year I was born.
