Cockshutt 30
I purchased the tractor two years ago from a farmer down the road from me. He put it out for sale one day then decided not to sell it. A month later I called him and wondered if it was still for sale he said maybe. His father had bought it from the wife of his close friend because his friend restored the tractor, and then passed away. He wanted to honor his friend by buying the tractor and finishing the restoration.
The tractor was old and not working when the two friends found it and they got it to the condition that it is today. The young man that I bought it from was hesitant on selling the tractor because of the ties to his father, who had just recently passed away himself. I purchased the tractor so that I could start a new tradition with my family. Buying a haywagon and giving the grand children and neighbors rides. Needless to say, this old tractor has found new life again bringing smiles and memories to another generation.
