My name is Braiden, I am a farm boy raised in a small town in NW Wisconsin. This is my John Deere 720. This is my first ever tractor I had bought. This tractor ran and drove before I restored it. In the first picture below you can see what I had to start with. The sheet metal was pretty straight and the engine fired up and ran great. There were a few missing parts and a few broken ones that needed to be replaced.
After saving the money up for about a year, I decided to start ripping into it. I had no idea what to expect when first tearing this tractor apart. I took lots of pictures and kept most of the receipts to see how much I put into this tractor. I know many of you professional tractor restoration guys are thinking, flat top fenders aren’t meant on 20 series, and you are right, but I have always loved the look of them and they are nice to have if someone wants to ride on the tractor with you, so I made a decision and bought myself the flat top fenders. And man am I glad I did.
I could go on and on, but I will leave it at that. I hope you guys like the look of the tractor just as much as I do. It was time and money well spent, and this is only one of many I plan on restoring.
