“This 1935 John Deere was purchased by my parents in December of 1934 at Brink Implement in Edgerton, Minnesota. They traded four draft horses in order to complete this purchase. The tractor came from the factory with four steel wheels. My dad refitted the tractor to rubber tires and new rims one year later. A Behlen 5th and 6th gearbox was added later. This enabled the tractor to have a relatively high road speed for that era. This tractor has always remained in the Walhof family.”

Nice.
Thanks for posting this 1935 John Deere A.
I own one as well and i need to get it updated and restored.
This posting gives me an actual restored picture.
I live in Sumner, ,Iowa and also have 1952 John Deere A.
That’s a great looking (B?)!!
I am in the finishing stages of restoring a 1936 JD B that bounced between my dad’s first cousin and my dad ending up with it in the middle 60’s. I inherited the tractor when my father passed away in 2014. Runs as sweet as when it was built.
