My family has been in the Apple and Peach growing business for over 4 generations. We have this 1953 Case VAI tractor that was obtained by my grandfather and father in 1963.
It was used by my father to mow under the fruit trees with the attached factory sickle bar mower until 1985 when it was semi retired to pulling a wagon occasionally. It finally got to where it was hard to start and keep running.
In 2010 my dad gave it to me with the understanding it had to be stored under a roof since it had never been left out in the weather. So I put it in my garage where it remained until a few months ago when I finally got time to start working on it.
The tractor was taken down to the bare bones, sandblasted, all the hydraulics and mechanical functions repaired and completely repainted to a fully functioning tractor and mower. This tractor is very special to me for many reasons but especially because I saw my dad on it so much when I was little. When I finished restoring this tractor I made arrangements with my siblings to meet at my dad’s and I hauled the tractor in for him to see and drive. He was very surprised and pleased to see it looking so good.

Thank you Steiner’s for providing a great service to people such as myself who are looking to restore these old tractors.
