1949 John Deere M

Bought this 1949 John Deere M tractor all in parts in January 2018 and completely restored it. This was a fun project. Took 18 months. Steiner was very helpful with what parts I needed. The hardest part was finding waffle rims 10″ x 24″. Finally found 2 good used ones in Oregon.
The 1949 works great! Currently working on a 1948 John Deere M. Hope to have it running shortly. Just waiting on a hydraulic pump from Iowa.
Thanks again for all your help!
P.S. also looking to aquire a 1950 John Deere M in Spring of 2020. Hope it is running.

Would love to pick your brain new to restoration and I’ve acquired was running but now I’ve starting tear down for restoration on a 1949 model M John Deere! Need any and all advice and pointers also looking for the best place to order all the manuals thanks! Miranda Clapp TN,USA please email me at hyrocorganicfarm@me.com if you’d like to share any do’s and don’ts I want to do this right it means a lot to me and integral to me as it will make my gardening etc so much less work I’ve hand plowed for over 7 years 3 acres every year. And I want a machine built to last but also restored to show room quality and functionality. Otherwise I’d keep me two draft horses or mules and plot that way but they are considered a luxury now not necessity and aren’t cost efficient for winter keeping. Thanks!
