1956 Massey Harris Pacer
Well, it’s finished. I finally completed my restoration of my Pacer. The tractor is a 1956 Massey Harris Pacer. It belonged to my wife’s father and sat neglected in the woods at my father-in-law’s getaway for over 35 years. I appreciate all of Steiner’s help and great parts inventory.
Also, I started my restoration 7/14/2012 and finished 7/14/2014 – exactly two years AND I did ALL of the work by myself with the use of some equipment from friends, i.e. John owns a machine shop.

Hi, I am really impressed at what you did with this Tractor. I have a 1949 Massey Harris Pony that I want to restore. Where do I start. Do you have an email address where I can sent some photos to.

Hi Ozman,
Just dig in. I started with taking all the sheet metal parts off and getting down to the chassis. After that, just clean everything well, stop any rust, prime and paint. Mechanically, you will have to check and repair/replace anything that does not work. If you need Pony parts go to http://www.kesselsmasseypartsandsales.com/index.html.
He has a lot of Pony parts and knowledge.
Good luck,
George
Great tractor, planted oats with my 1898 Massey Harris seed drill and my Massey Harris 16 pacer. No break downs and a real sense of satisfaction .
