Rod’s Allis Chalmers

I’ve always built and restored tractors and cars. I had in the back of my mind to someday build a tractor with a V-8 in it, because I thought it would be so cool. After I had the one V-8 in the tractor, my mind got to thinking again, wouldn’t 2 engines just be the ultimate?
All the parts were just laying around my shop. I used old frame rails to extend the frame, two hoods welded together to give the length for the two V-8’s. Coupling the two V-8’s using a driveshaft from a pickup. The splined part of the driveshaft and a little machine work coupled the 2 motors together. The cooling is done by a radiator in the front and one hidden under the motor where the weights are. Cooled by electric fans and electric water pump. I added two bucket seats in the back for passengers when we go to parades and shows.
It was a fun project.
