John Deere L build

A few years ago I got an old John Deere LUC motor from my grandpa for Christmas. Dad and I got it running but I wanted to put it in a tractor. So about a year later grandpa found a John Deere L frame for me that was about to go to the scrap yard. We got that cleaned up, fixed the stuck stuff, rebuilt the transmission, welded patches in to rusted out wheels, and painted it.

Then we put the motor in the John Deere L frame. About two months after putting the hand crank motor in, it kicked back and hurt my dads arm so we decided to convert it to electric start. My grandpa again found what we needed. He found another complete motor for 100 dollars with electric start that had been sitting for 7 years. We got that running immediately and swapped motors. The old motor (the one without electric start) is now on a cart and there have been no problems with ether motor since.
