George Schaaf’s Tractor Collection Restoration – Part 2

Steiner Stories Across America

In the second part of George Schaaf’s tractor story, we get to know the story behind George’s tractor restoration team. They’re like the tractor whisperers, paying close attention to every detail, sometimes taking them apart to the very bolts and putting them back together. And then adding a stunning paint job. George’s restoration team is super knowledgeable about tractor repair and restoration, even when there’s no documentation or you’re not even sure what you have.

Check out some of the rare tractors, some of which are lovingly known as failures, but they’re still great ideas that didn’t quite work out.

Here are just a few of the rare tractors you’ll see:

1911 International Type A
Sandusy Massey
1917 Hume
1920 Stinson
1917 Little Oak
1938 Monarch Sno-Motor
Almost every Avery ever made!
