1957 Farmall 130
As a boy, I used this tractor on my grandfather’s farm, trucking tobacco from the field to the barn. He also let me bush hog and pull a harvester for the neighbors. Driving this Farmall tractor provided endless learning and joy for a future mechanical engineer. This 1957 Farmall 130 tractor was sold when my grandfather passed in the early 1970s and was lost upon the death of the next owner.
My Uncle Frank finally found it at a reunion in the same neighborhood in 2017. It was in sorry shape. I had it professionally restored at Burch Farm Store Tractors in Burlington, North Carolina, and here you see the end product. I love this family heirloom, which now stays on our farm in Salisbury, North Carolina.
