Ford 2N – What color?

My neighbor recently moved back to Chicago and I just couldn’t let him leave without giving his tractor a good home. We made a deal and I fell in love with my first Ford tractor. I could never figure out the paint scheme, as it is opposite of the 8N, grey chassis and red hood. I’ve recently come to discover that it is a 1945 2N and I’m looking to restore it to its former glory. My wife likes the red, but I’m pretty sure it will end up all grey as originally produced…..I guess only time will tell.

Leave it gray. remember a pair of brothers, one had Ferguson & the other a Ford, both tractors were identical looking & both were gray. Back in the 50’s in town of South EASTON, Massachusetts. On state route 106.
