Retired IH & Cub Cadet Dealer Still Going Strong at 87

Farmall-in fieldThese are pictures of my dad and his Farmalls. He is a retired IH and Cub Cadet Dealer. He worked this business for 60 years and also farmed some himself. Starting at age 20, he worked himself up to parts manager and finally bought the business from the previous owner, WWHILL and Son, here in Ashtabula, Ohio. Father-and-son He named it Moores Farm Supply. He’s an A-1 mechanic and probably knows all the part numbers by heart! He is 87 yrs old and lives on the family farm that has been in the family name for 150 years. Every morning he gets up by 5:00- 5:30, eats a good breakfast, and works all day, mowing or tractor repair. working-in-yard working-in-yard-2He works alone a lot of the time but there is nothing he likes better than to take his tractors apart and put them back together again. working-in-garageworking-in-garage-2Each day he starts their engine to hear them purr. I am very proud of my dad. He’s been a successful business man and everywhere we go, people are glad to see he’s still alive and shake his hand. He has a wealth of information under that hat…history, hard knocks, and hard work; stories that bring the past back to life!
