Last weekend I went to the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville, IA. The show is incredible–so much area is filled with vendors outside, inside the museum, and inside the local high school school.
A really fun part of it all is the museum filled with tons and tons of toy tractors.
The feature this time was Ford and New Holland tractors. Jerry and Kathy Orcutt’s collection of Ford and New Holland toys was featured in a large part of the museum on the main floor. These pictures are a small sampling of what is on display on the feature section.
I love this Ford 9N with a V8 engine. Would love to start it up and hear it run..maybe drive it too!
While in the museum, we ran into Wayne Cooper, a Hall of Fame member. He was honored due to his pioneering of pedal tractor pulls. One room in the museum is surrounded by plaques of Hall of Fame members, some whom I recognized and others whom I have yet to meet.
Other areas of the museum feature all brands of tractors (literally all brands, I even saw a Belarus toy!). Here’s a sampling of the Allis-Chalmers and International Harvester displays:
This wall displays the most common toy tractor scales that are produced.
Next year’s National Farm Toy Show is already scheduled for November 4-6 (2016). Local hotels fill up fast (this event is hosted by a small farming community), so make your plans now to attend next year!

We are having a hard time finding an Allis Toy tractor for our grandson, reasonably priced. This will be his first tractor.
