Tractor Story – 1949 Massey Harris Pony
Here a couple of pictures of my 1949 Massey Harris Pony. While not a basket case when purchased in August 2011 it sure was ugly. My wife reffered to it as a Messy-Harry. After several cans of oven cleaner (cheaper the better) and many quarters at the car wash. I began ordering bits and pieces from Steiners. The oil pressure gauge was the wrong one and the amp gauge was nowhere to be found. The oil filter housing had about a cup full of crud in the bottom. Although it would not impress the nit-pickers in the crowd thanks to you guys I am quite happy with it.
A tip to others, be sure you take a lot of pictures, they will be a big help when it’s time to put everything back together.
