Knights of Columbus in Franklin Missouri

Steiner Tractor Parts is proud to sponsor the Knights of Columbus in Franklin County, Missouri for their Journey for Charity.  The photos shared are from the Tractor Cruise in 2012. The event was held this year on September 8th.  The tractor ride organizers were recognized in August 2013 with the 2013 International Council Activity Award at the 131st annual international convention of the Knights of Columbus held in San Antonio. There were 54 other organizations that qualified for the award, it is the highest possible award that can be achieved.  Since its inception, the Journey for Charity has raised $72,000. In 2012, the 30-mile cruise raised $19,000 along with 1,000 pounds of food both of which are collected for local food pantries.  During the cruise, service vehicles collect canned and non-perishable food donations as well as cash donations.  The donations are on the shelves of local food pantries Monday morning after the cruise.  Drivers in the cruise pay a $30 registration fee and are encouraged to raise $100 in donations.  The cruise is open to both members and non-members of the Knights of Columbus.  This is such a great event for a wonderful cause.  Steiner communicates with John Jasper from the Knights of Columbus.
