This is my Dad's 1960 Farmall 560, Dad bought this tractor sometime in the late 1990's, he lived in town and used the tractor in various different jobs, He was a general contractor by trade.
As Dad was getting up in years it didn't get used as much, One day when I was down visiting I asked Dad what he was going to do with the tractor, To my surprise Dad asked me if i wanted it, I said yes I would like to restore it some day.
I went out and looked at it and noticed it needed new front tires, I picked them up,and Dad and I changed them out. He used the tractor to tear buildings down at the family farm. The tractor has set idle for the last two years and when I was down visiting I would go and start it.
In March of this year a friend and I brought the tractor back to where I live.
I have not started to restore it yet, I wanted to get pictures of the tractor and my Dad, September of this year my Dad was up here in Des Moines he stopped by and I took my pictures, nineteen days later my Dad passed away.
My love for old tractors started when I was growing up, My Grandparents' lived on a farm, my grandpa had two Farmall F-12 tractors. Later I got a F-20 the motor was stuck, got it freed up and back to running, Then I got a Farmall H that was stuck and got it back to running also.
I always wanted to restore a tractor completely. This tractor will be restored in the memory of Dad. With the help of Steiner Tractor Parts.
