Tractor Stories – 1952 Farmall Super M
My name is Tyler Weller. I have a 1952 Farmall Super M Louisville. This tractor was the 384 tractor made in 1952, which was the first year they made the Farmall Super M, and there was only 12,484 tractors made in Louisville. I have recently started redoing the tractor, and I pull the tractor once in a while. This tractor was bought new by my grandfather in 1952 from our local International dealer to use on the family farm. This tractor has been used for alomost every job on the farm, like plowing, disking, planting, mowing, ect. Over the last 7 years it has been in our shed with the motor locked up. Last year about this time I decided to get it running again. Some money, some time, and many parts later its running again. We started using this tractor again on our farm for most everything we can. I have more fun working on it most times than I do working it. Its nothing special to look at, no paint job or anything, but its been in my family for 50 plus years now.
