This tractor was produced to be dropped from a glider in the war with parachutes, and has a very rare loader on it as well.

After 22 months my dad and I finally finished my WD45. This is my first orange tractor as I have always been a green man before this. I acquired this tractor off a friend’s estate. He had just retired and 6 months later was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was the individual who introduced me to the local tractor club and let me drive my first big tractor which was a 1940 JD B (I have that tractor too!) Many of the parts we needed for this project came from Steiner’s and their selection was quite substantial. I will still need a few parts for this tractor down the road as you may see that on our trial run we overheated and discolored the new chrome exhaust stack. Oh well the joys of working on old tractors and I LOVE IT!!!!

This is a 1951 Farmall H purchased new and still owned by Mr. Kenneth Ellis of Kirkland, Texas. This was the very first tractor he ever bought. Being his only tractor for years, he depended on it to do everything from sowing, planting, and cultivation to stripping cotton. It was restored in 2013 by Smith Tractor Restoration located in Kirkland, Texas. Another neat thing about this tractor is that it was purchased from Dixon Kirchoff, the IH Dealer in Hollis, Oklahoma; which is a family owned business and is still in business and still owned by the same family.
