August Featured Tractor Photo

“I recently moved to a location with 20 acres. I was in need of a tractor. After meeting new neighbors and friends, I mentioned that I needed a tractor. One of my new friends said he would sell me his tractor and gave me his address where I went to see it.

This picture says it all. The shed was probably being held up by the wisteria growing through every window, wall, and door. Peeking out the front was this amazing find. A 1959 Case, model 210B. The owner drove it in the shed 6 years prior and had not touched it since.

I put it on a trailer and took it home. I put a carburetor kit in it, the 6-volt (positive ground) generator was rebuilt, and a new battery was installed. It started up and continues to run better each day.

It is a wonderful tractor and a rare model. It has power steering, low and high range, and is easy to drive.”

Tractor Story – International Super C

Super-C-BeforeSuper-C-After
Steiner Tractor Parts was a big help with last years project, a 1953 Super C I fully restored, and hopefully with be with my new project an IH 300U. The Super C has been in the family since the day Kennedy was shot and was submitted in the 2014 DELO TRC and didn’t place. The 300 my Grandma used to drive when she worked on a farm up here in Wisconsin and was bought brand new at the Case IH dealership I now work at and will be submitted in the 2015 National DELO Tractor Restoration Competition.

The pictures are before and afters of the Super C and a before of the 300

Tractor Story – Ford 8N

This is my Ford 8N. I got it from my Grandpa. It’s been neglected for a few years to say the least. I’ve had to rebuild the steering box and now I’m working on s stuck clutch. All the sheet metal is bad so I have to replace it all. My Dad and my son have been helping on the project It’s neat for me to share this with my son cause I remember riding this tractor when I was around his age. There’s been a lot I’ve fixed on it but there’s a lot more to go also. Hopefully soon I will be able to post pictures of it finished. I just think it’s pretty cool keeping the tractor in the family.  As you can see in the pics my son is more than eager to help out. Thanks for reading.

Tractor Story – 1945 Farmall B

Kenneth-Marcum1945 Farmall B owned and restored by Kenneth Marcum of Centralia, Missouri. My Dad bought this tractor new in 1945 – the year I was born. He used it to plant corn with a two row mounted corn planter. He also used it to mow and rake hay and haul it to the barn. It was also used to haul ear corn to the crib in the Fall. The second seat and steering wheel was added as a novelty. The tractor was painted by Becker Bros of Mexico, Missouri.
