Jeff Libby from our receiving department, recently went out to Washington to visit his new grandson Ryan. When Libby returned he shared these pictures with us from his trip.
As you can see they were having some fun with the ‘hands’ pose. For those who don’t know the story, Libby along with Chelsea Thomas posed (hands only) for the cover of our eCatalog packaging. They were depicted as a grandfather / grandson, but since we did not have a small boy available that day we used Chelsea who has small childlike hands. Libby has now provided us with the real thing. Thanks Libby!
As some of you may have noticed we are testing some new looks for our home page. We currently have 5 variations of the home page, including the original layout. We are testing the different layouts to see which page appeals to our customers for use and visual appeal. We have added some new flash features ‘New Parts’, ‘Weekly Featured Parts’ & 'What our customers have to say' as well as links to our Facebook & Twitter accounts.
Pictured above are the four new layouts. The initial time you logged on since the test began determined which page you will view. If you log on from a different machine you may see a different layout. We hope you take a minute to look over the new layouts and let us know your thoughts, use the links below each image to go to the actual page.
Feel free to send us your ‘comments’ we look forward to hearing from you.
Recently I ran across The Local Harvest Blog where I read a haiku that put a smile on my face.
For many of us it has probably been years since we have written a haiku, or even heard the word. But we are putting out the challenge to you to send in your tractor haikus to us.
If you need a little refresher a Haiku is classical japanese poetry form with a rich history, but this isn't a history lesson. The standard haiku format is a triplet of lines containing five, seven, and five syllables per respective line.
We will start you off with a couple that were written by Elizabeth, a Steiner employee who works in Customer Service / Marketing.
Once I had pliers
Now a new wheel from Steiner
steering easier
My antique tractor
Not an IH or JD
Ford is best for me
We look forward to reading your take on this fun form of poetry.
