Eleven Years and Counting!

Today is our 11 year anniversary for our www.steinertractor.com website, Scan0003 and boy how things have changed.  Our domain name was registered on November 21st, 1997 and we were told we would be up and running by the end of November. Well as deadlines are rarely met when it comes to construction even on the web. We were not up and running until the end of May 1998. We ran into some problems because we were running a 'MAC' office and our Web Master only worked on 'IBM' (that sure dates things). Next we had to install a program that would convert our images to run on 'MAC' & 'IBM'. But even though there were many bumps throughout the 6 months, it Scan0004took to launch it was still exciting to have an e-commerce website. Our original home page and catalog (pictured above and to the left) although functional was quite minimal by todays standards.

Since then we have made some major overhauls to our website (pictured below), and the updates and improvements are still coming.  We would also like to thank our customers who have been with us through the last 11 years and the many changes, we appreciate your patronage.

We look forward to unveiling some of our latest updates over the next few weeks. Today we launched our new e-catalog, an interactive catalog you can download, search and even send a link to a friend. Our eCatalog parts are linked right to our website so you can click on the part then add it to your cart.

In the near future we will be adding a new and improved search system on our website.  And if you are new to the "Blog" check out our latest news on new parts, what’s in stock, news around the office and JR's 2009 Website Piccorner where JR Roberts shares his many years of experience and tractor knowledge.  Have you tried our "Online Help" you can chat live with our customer service reps with all your questions. If you have a story to share or would like to read other stories visit our "Tractor Stories" where old iron enthusiast share their stories of tractor restoration. "Tips & Tricks" is now available with a Q&A section, helpful tips and links to charts and diagrams. And don't miss "Helpful Links" where we have provided a list of links to other websites we feel may be helpful or of interest with your restoration projects.

Thanks again for your interest in Steiner Tractor Parts and we look forward to serving you for many years to come.
