Ford 960, added to Ford collection

We have a family friend who has a Ford 960 who uses it for tractor pulling and brings it out to tractor shows, ever since talking to him about his 960 and tractor pulling I knew I had to have one. Naturally collecting Fords I thought that this would be a nice addition to my family’s collection of Ford tractors.

Roughly 6 years go by from originally talking to our family friend and deciding I need a 960, to a Tuesday at 12:30 when I was sitting at college. Just after we got moving after our lunch break I just happened to look at Facebook, and there it is a 1955 Ford 960. There was one picture of it and it kinda looked like it was leaning to one side. Come to find out it had one bad rim, and it hadn’t run in a while. After a very eventful rescue the tractor made it home.

Since I bought it 5 months ago and after many Steiner orders it is fully functional on our farm and I have probably put 30 hours on it and I have had almost no issues with it and it is quickly becoming my favorite tractor I own.
