Nostalgia for Farmall Cub

Back in 1950, my dad bought a brand-new Farmall Cub. As a kid, I spent countless hours plowing and discing community gardens—it was my absolute favorite! Now, in my 80s, I came across this sad-looking 1957 Cub and instantly knew it held a lot of potential.

It’s almost 80 years between these two pictures—same guy! I spotted this old 1957 Farmall Cub last year and couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. As an eighth grader, I had the privilege of plowing gardens and mowing lots with my trusty 1951 Cub. Restoring this 1957 model has been a rewarding journey that has taken me back to those fun times, and a reminder how much work it was changing the implements. Farmall has always held a special place in my heart.
