1955 Farmall 400

This is my 1955 Farmall 400. Growing up with both red and green tractors I never had a real brand allegiance, I just liked good old tractors. As a young boy I always heard stories of the Farmall 400 that my grandfather purchased in the 60’s, and  my dad and him farmed with until the 90’s when it got traded in.

For a while I was on the fence about getting one until I found this one that a friend had brought home from Iowa. After I saw her I couldn’t get it off my mind, it had to come home it just felt right. After some minor tinkering me and dad got the 400 spruced up. It had sat for many years, we estimate about 20. The 400 is a great way to look back on what our ancestors had and what was our family’s big tractor. The Farmall 400 is great for light work tractor rides and she loves the pulling track. She’s just a good old original tractor I’m proud to call mine.
