Tractor Stories – 1947 Farmall AV
My first restoration project, A 1947 Farmall AV, which was pretty much a rust bucket when purchased. I have also restored a Farmall Super A and an Allis Chalmers WD and have five others to restore, including two Farmall Cubs, a Farmall Super C, a Massy-Harris-Ferguson TO-35 and a John Deere M. I show the restored tractors at local shows but mostly it is the pride of restoration and bringing these old work horses back to life that is the reward. Steiner and other parts suppliers are an essential piece of being able to find parts to restore these wonderful machines. Thank you for the great inventory that Steiner carries; I can normally find parts for any of my tractors. This year’s catalog was awesome with the tractor colored pages, a great index and the serial numbers.
