Hi. I just got your new catalog.
It is very nice and thank you very much.
The first thing I did was read all of the short stories, what a nice touch. Here is a picture of me when I was 4 years old with the boney knees in 1961.
My Dad had a Ford 9N with a Sherman step up. Boy did that go fast on the step up. I drove it up until he sold it when I was about 10. But I did do a lot of raking with it.
About five years ago I bought an old 1950 8N that I am restoring, it is almost all finished. I rebuilt every single thing on it.
It is now running, I did paint the red but need to finish with the gray.
Waiting for warmer weather
I will send you the after pictures later.Dennis St-Francois
Tractor Stories – 1950 John Deere G
The pictures are of my John Deere Model ‘G’ Tractor that my uncle bought new in 1950 from Casement Implement of Fordville N.D.
My cousin Lawrence had the tractor for many years but it was left outside and rusted out the radiator and all the water pipes. The engine was stuck on one piston and the tires were all cracked up. I called it a real ‘rust bucket’. However all the metal was in good condition. After a year of restoration with lots of parts from Steiner Tractor it turn out very nice.
